Pierre, 

That was me. The repair tech Bernie O'Doherty gave me that tip, and it did have something to do with the sand that was used to make the glass. Apparently the "sun tan" would reduce or eliminate the yellow cast that the Lomo's can develop over time. Maybe keeping them in a case in a dark closet isn't the best for them!

We protect the lens and put them all the time in a dark area maybe if they 
got some sun tan for few hours this could dry them and avoid other problem
