I've been following news of the D3s the past few days and I'm quite 
amazed at it's ISO capabilities; I completely respect Nikon for 
releasing this one.

This is not a Mustang vs Camaro (Nikon vs Canon) thing. It's more like a 
Jeep vs Camaro (or Jeep vs Mustang). A Jeep is for off-roading, while 
the Camaro/Mustang is for streets. They just aren't aiming at the same 
market as Canon at all with this one. First, it's only 12MP (the Canon 
5DM2 is 21MP - both are full frame). Second, it shoots 11fps vs the 
Canon 5Dm2 @ 3fps. Third, it's 720p24 and auto-ISO - so it's not a "RED 
replacement" camera like Canon's 5DM2 or 7D.

I think this one may actually be for taking places and shooting stills...
