I had an interesting conversation with Richard over at Cinema Engineering today. He was finishing up some work on some of the Kinors and I noticed a part of a still camera slr sitting on the bench. What's that doing here I asked, and he told me it was the lens mount and mirror box for a Canon 5D. 
 
He is working on developing a PL mount for it, which would involve quite a few mods to the camera body including removing the mirror, making the mirror box much larger to accomodate the protruding rear elements of some lenses and making HDMI and rear screen images available at all times. So of course I asked him to do the same thing with a 7D with an OCT19 mount. We'll see what becomes of it all. Interesting possibilies. 
 
Though I wonder if Canon will just come out with something like this all ready made in the not too distant future.
