Morse was made for the BBC, No?
Morse was the first use of "Elaines" in the UK.
The BBC, itself, was still favoring combination TV (interior) and
film (exterior) origination, or all TV origination for its own
teleproductions, when Morse was filming its 32+ episodes.
Subsequent British producers also went with S16, but using equipment
from Arri, as one might expect.
It was careless of me to lump BBC-owned productions with producers
making their product for BBC exhibition.
Your examples of Boeing and Airbus are totally irrelevant to a
discussion of cinema equipment.
British TV producers do not resort to bribery and international
corruption when selecting their production equipment, but British and
other "national air carriers" do when selecting their commercial air
transport equipment.
