Francis Ford himself first directed a film for Roger Corman. I think its great he is getting an oscar. he is not the kind of filmmaker who fits into the oscar mould/stereotype but its kind of unfair not to recognise him for that reason. He has made some fantastic films. "Masque of the red death" is high on my list of all time fave films. That film should have won an oscar!
