Hi Pawel,
I guess the choice for Fomapan 100 is the rather low cost in comparison to
Fuji/Kodak-products, right?
If this is the case, I want to recommend ORWO UN 54 (100 ASA) and ORWO N 74
(400ASA), when BW-pictures are need. It´s Negative-Film, that meens: MUCH
better exposure lattitude. If positive film is needed, it is possible to
have it processed in a way that positive Film is the result (I never tried
it). It is availible both for 16mm and 35 mm.
It is lots cheaper then the Kodak BW-Negative stock Duble X and even Plus X
and it shows much lesser grain due to a more modern emulsion. Some claim
that ist the best BW stock availible. I believe this is true, because I
have been using all Kodak BW negative stock and Fomapan and ORWO (I love BW
footage). The letter is what looks best in my eyes.
This is the manufacturers (Filmotec in Wolffen) homepage:

Regards,
Ole

Betreff: [Konvas] Shooting 16mm Fomapan R100 B&W reversal in very poor
lightcondition
100 ASA in interior without aby light - is it possible with 3.2T lens?
I have a question/problem.
I have an opportunity to shoot some documentary scenes today, the only
stock I have available now is 16mm Fomapan R100 100 ASA B&W reversal,
it will be interior with NO ADDITIONAL LIGHTNING beside the lights
that are normally used in someone's room.
Another problem is that the fastest glass I have here now is 3.2 glass
( the most wide opened aperture setting is marked 3.0 on the lens, but
as far as I know it is 3.2 T). So I know it will be dark.
But my question is: Will I get any usable image if I force (please
tell me what and how) the stock in developing (if it is possible for
reversal), and if I use the maximum bright aperture settings while
scanning into 2K picture.
Camera is kinor 16cx-2m running 25fps with cristal motor. Cannot
change the shutter settings.
best regards
Pawel
