Do you think they are using achromatic glass to warp the image "up" to 
medium format? For the life of me, I can not think of another way of 
doing it (but then again, I'm not a scientist).

I wonder if this technology will be used for upcoming larger digital 
sensors that are equivalent in size to the IMAX, etc (I believe at least 
RED has this in development, correct?)?
