I received it, Pierre! ;-)

The list is setup to try and send mail to your server a certain amount 
of times, but if your server is busy (happens a lot more than you think 
with large mail servers), or if there's a bad internet connection for a 
bit of the day, then sometimes it gives up on that one message - this is 
basically called a "soft bounce".

This is quite similar to the regular Post Office - a letter gets sent to 
someone and on its travels, it may get hung up in a processing machine 
and eaten, or the carrier may accidentally drop the letter out of his 
carrying sack on the way to your mailbox. This affects the one letter, 
and not the system as a whole.

Soft bounces are not uncommon with email - it just seems to happen more 
with the discussion list, since we're throwing so many messages at it 
per week.

BTW: I check everything with this email account, but I also have a 
"backup" yahoo account that I double check with, for just in case...
