Before modern electronics cameras used AC asynchronous motors which were big and heavy. Hence the huge electric motors on the side of those Mitchel cameras. I had an Arii 16S with one and the motor was 1/2 the size of the camera but I got 24fps sync. Early electronic crystal controls used large power transistors and only analog components to drive a higher amperage motor most likely with a feedback circuit to govern speed and burnouts probably often. You could probably locate an old schematic somewhere.Look inside your Konvas speed controller box for primitive electrics...lol.
