I've posted this thread earlier on the konvas.org list and here it is again:

they look quite a lot like Russian Lomos, no?

I tried contacting several people in China, but without results yet. I was
once in Mongolia, shooting some stuff, when we needed equipment one day we
got driven to this military base... they opened up one of the shacks and it
was FULL of movie equipment... all very broken though and it looked like a
dump... I bet there are lots and lots of those in China somewhere, but it
would be very hard to get ahold of them. I've heard about IIC knockoffs as
well etc.

As for lighting equipment though there is a huge market for that now. Be
sure to visit "Zhong guan cun" whenever you're in Beijing. It's one of the
biggest used and new photography markets I know. Will be great and it has a
lot of old chinese stuff as well.
