[Konvas] Lens donut for 75mm Lomo anamorphic round front (w/o pics)

I made a lens donut for my 75mm by attaching a cone of foam rubber to the font of the lens gear with velcro.  --I haven't shot a pic yet, but it's kind of like this one:

It seems there's no way to keep ambient light from leaking in the back of the matte box.  The front spins, extends so far, and with the lens gear taking up the entire front of the lens, it limits what can be done. 

I thought about making something like this but then there's no way to see the lens markings for setting focus, and it would have to be huge to get around my follow focus, and the whole spinning issue!?

I know as it is the light leak wouldn't be that much, And I plan on using a flag on the top, but I'm curious how everyone else makes due with this issue.
