The single drive motor is mounted underneath and behind the rotating
mirror shutter system.

Alas, this is not a "capping" shutter.

However, the shutter is actually a front-surface mirror, as one would
obviously expect, and it is a "butterfly" shutter, as one might also
expect.

However, to dynamically balance the shutter, and to reduce the
camera's noise, there are arranged about the entire periphery of the
shutter rotating support system, a very great number of very small
machine screws, each of which is individually adjustable as to its
radial location, thereby providing for the relatively large mass of
the head of the machine screws, themselves, a greater or lesser
position with respect to the axis of rotation of the shutter.

The adjustment procedure for this system is obviously quite complex.

But, it gets the job done.
