The Foton matches up well with the Speed Panchro Designs; and is actually a higher T stop under 2800k and lower temp lighting than under 4800-5600k.

And it is affordable. If you have to shoot "one lens for all" a Foton with the anamorphic would be "not too bad."

Olivier,
The general feeling about the Foton is that it's an Okay zoom. With a tendency to be warm. So if you are trying to match it up to other lenses, it's gonna take a bit more color correction.

It's definitely not a prime, and, with a T-stop of T4.4, it's a little slow in comparison. But, it has a 37-140mm zoom and you can buy a front Anamorphic adapter for it (they appear on ebay from time to time, which makes things really nice).

I have an OCT18 one here that I've played around with, but it has an an oil ring around the front element (which only effects the wider shots). I've snapped a few pics with it, but can't seem to find them on this computer, which means they may be on the other computer and lost in the picture archive from hell.

If I have time later today (or maybe later this week), I'll try to set the lens/camera up properly and snap a few for you.

Cheers,
