Thanks for the detailed response Steve ! Those ISCO adaptors look  
ideal, although pricey.

You'd really need to be working with a RAW 1080 capture to make this  
viable if you wanted to de-squeeze in post for grading and VFX. Have  
to see whether the rumoured Canon RAW recorder turns up at NAB this  
year. That adaptor would be ideal on the FF35 Scarlet when that  
finally ships.
