Last chance...free 35mm film. I have 5219, 5207, 5217, 5201, 5212. Current emulsions...ends and recans.
Free.
Must be picked up in NYC tomorrow. You must take a couple of boxes.
I can't move it and I'm closing my NYC office to take a job with Fujifilm.
Free. You folks can't talk me down from there.
I have to get rid of it. It's worth $1000s. Really. This ain't old or discontinued film.
Call me at 917 992 9670. Tell your friends in NYC.
Call first!
Please don't come by to get 800'...I have boxes...
This isn't a dream...

Subject: Re: [Konvas] New York Cabs O/T
Not all cabs in NYC are owned by the same company, and there is more than one
brand of base car.
If you are thinking of the "classic" American taxicab you might be thinking of
the Checker Cab or Checker Taxi, made by the Checker Motors Company. It was
designed, ground up, for use as a taxicab, and through a set of bizarre
circumstances the name wound up incorporated into several taxicab companies--
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checker_Taxi
For motion picture and television use the Checker was great, but the Ford Crown
Victoria and the Buick Park Avenue are seen frequently for "newer looks"
reasons-- heavily modified Park Avenue "cabs" are used for both internal and
external shots, while the Crown Vic resists the modifications because of the
drivetrain placement.
Do you need one for some purpose?

Are there any car enthusiasts here.
Does anybody know who makes the present New York 'yellow' taxis? Ford,
Chrysler???
Also who made the 1960's/1970's yellow cab and was it a production model
and adapted for taxi work or purposely made as a taxi. This cab seemed to be
a much larger version probably had a V8 engine and had a partition between
the driver and passenger but was a large beast.
Would appreciate any help, cannot seem to find any info on the web.
Rita
