[Konvas] motor for 3fps ....

Olivier,

This looks like a question for Bruce McNaughton at Aranda Film. I'll bet he has something that will work. He made Paul Breuning's 2 perf Mitchell based scanning rig including the electronics, so I'm sure he could come up with something.

thinking a little bit more ....
if i use my regular locked speed 24fps motor arri2C and place a 8X reduction
factor geared wheel on it ... this will give me 3fps frame rate exposure ,
well good , BUT for my full magazine of 1000 feets this will demand my motor
running non stop during 88 minutes at 24fps !!!! for each roll
i think the motor never was done for such demand !!!! and feature have
around 9 rolls ....
so this is around 12 hours of running in a day !!!!

so i think it is better thinking in another motor ... (can be 110 V !) what
about motor running 10 rev/second .... and downspeed it at 3 rev per sec
with gears ....
i preffer a downspeed system (who reduce the possible error of the motor
constant speed ) ....

ANY idea of a kind of motor with 110V constant speed running around 30/60
revolutions per minute ???and who can deal with the force for moving arri2C
with 1000 feet mag ....
so i can give him constant voltage reguled 110V ...

Olivier .
