OK, i had done something similar years ago using a technique called
"desaturation" ....
Of course i do it without any difgital process ...(was 20 years ago )
the reference waht exactly stalker kind of things ...

i used color negative and place a filter "DARK GREEN" over the lens .. it is
LEE or ROSCO ... full color green ....
The idea is eliminate a huge part of the specter color of the film
sensibility ....

TO TEST IT AND PLAY AROUND (This is nice and fun )

JUST take a color negative in a photo camera and test somes HIGHT colored
filters .... take a color chart with neutral ...
and AFTER process , "try" to regulate the color balance in the lab ... ....
With very strong color filter, this work very beautifull ....
you will have something like 17 26 49 for the threew RGB lights in the
printer . ... (evidencing a crossing of curves !!!! )

I do it Green , but with ORANGE tooo .....

I don t speak about 85 kind of filters, BUT very strong color ones ....
you can see results in the forest secuence in this short film ... and too
when the little girl is with his father at table .... ths was done with dark
green ....
in this film i used too ST8 sound film , at 10 asa , around ... 6 in
tungsten and 12 in daylight ....
